On December 14th, 2016 the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit, Newport Police Department Detectives Unit, and Oregon State Police conducted a warrant sweep; focusing their efforts on the city of Siletz and surrounding area. The sweep resulted in the arrest of six males on warrants related to sexual crime investigations and one male on a probation violation warrant.
Dalton D. Wise, age 32 of Toledo, was arrested on a warrant for three counts of Rape in the Third Degree, two counts of Sodomy in the Third Degree, and Unlawful Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance to a Minor. His bail was set at $400,000. Brandon R. Halberg, age28 of Blodgett, was arrested on a warrant for Rape in the Third Degree and Unlawful Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance to a Minor. His bail was set at $150,000.
Gregory S. Phillips, age 33 of Siletz, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of Rape in the Third Degree, two counts of Sodomy in the Third Degree, and two counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree. His bail was set at $100,000. Wayne A. Rondo, age 51 of Siletz, was arrested on a warrant for three counts of Rape in the First Degree, and Attempted Rape in the Third Degree. His bail was set at $250,000.
Dale A. Eason, age29 of Newport, was arrested on a warrant for three counts of Rape in the Third Degree, Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree, and Contributing to the Sexual Delinquency of a Minor. His bail was set at $200,000. Jeffrey J Paul, age 22 of Siletz, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of Rape in the Third Degree, two counts of Contributing to the Sexual Delinquency of a Minor, and Unlawful Delivery of a Schedule I Controlled Substance to a Minor. His bail was set at $200,000.
Daniel L. Alvarez, age 29 of Siletz, was arrested on a warrant for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with a $50,000 bail.
All of the above males were lodged at the Lincoln County Jail. One juvenile male was also taken in to custody on a warrant.
During the course of the warrant sweep, an additional arrest was made for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Distribution of Methamphetamine.
Eleven grams of methamphetamine along with $400.00 cash were seized in the course of the investigation. The drug offenses have not yet been charged pending further investigation. A second investigation was initiated involving animal neglect when investigators located a malnourished dog and two puppies with inadequate shelter, food, and water. The animals were seized by Lincoln County Animal Services and the investigation is ongoing.
