On Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at approximately 4:22 am, officers with the Lincoln City Police Department were tipped off to the whereabouts of a wanted female; a 29 year old transient female named Yvonne Brown. Officer Jason Spano went to the Chinook Winds Casino where he located and arrested Ms. Brown. Ms. Brown had an active felony warrant for her arrest issued out of Lincoln County for failure to appear on a Delivery of Heroin charge.
At the time of her arrest, Ms. Brown was a suspect in numerous open cases throughout Lincoln County spanning back to December of 2015. These cases alleged Ms. Brown to have committed crimes involving fraud, forgery, deception and theft. Subsequent investigation after Ms. Brown’s arrest by Officers Holly Blakely and Shawn Carter led them to charge Ms. Brown with 139 separate felony and misdemeanor crimes. These crimes include multiple counts of the following:
Identity Theft, Forgery 1st Degree, Forgery 2nd Degree, Theft 1st Degree, Theft 2nd Degree, Theft 3rd Degree, Unlawful Possession Person ID Device, Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument 1st Degree, Negotiating a Bad Check, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Theft 1st Degree (by deception), Computer Crime, Mail Theft.
Ms. Brown is currently lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on a bail amount of $5,535,000. The investigation and arrest of Ms. Brown serves to clear many open cases with several different agencies within Lincoln County.
