Tomorrow, April 22nd, 2016, there will be a SOLVE sponsored Invasive Weed Pull Volunteer Project at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, at 750 NW Lighthouse Dr. in Newport, from 11am to 2pm.
Come work with BLM staff on the beautiful Oregon Coast to pull invasive plants and learn about the importance of managing the parks natural resources. Volunteers must wear boots or other appropriate footwear, long pants and sleeves. Some gloves and hand tools will be available for use. Be prepared for all weather. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal.
Meeting Spot: When driving past the entrance booth, let the ranger know you are here to volunteer for the Earth Day weed pull and you will have free admittance to the park. Meet inside Interpretive Center at the front desk. Minimum age 6.
