Due to the cold temperatures organizers at the Lincoln City warming shelters will be open tonight through Sunday night. Singles are welcome at the north area warming shelter at the Congregational Church on 25th street behind Kenny’s IGA tonight through Thursday night starting at 6pm. Homeless families with children are welcome to come to the second shelter at the First Baptist Church on NW 17th down the street from Maxwells. Volunteers both male and female continue to be needed to assist with the overnight staffing of both emergency shelter sites when opened.
The Newport Warming Shelter is open at the fairgrounds beginning at 11am this morning through tomorrow.
