The Devils Lake Water Improvement District Board at their monthly meeting last week reported some of the issues they have been having in getting applications for the district manager position. The board was supposed to meet in executive session to interview the one applicant however that person withdrew their application. Board members Tina French and Chair Kent Norris met with the special districts association and realized that they had only posted the announcement on the SDAO website. Norris said they needed to broaden their search.
Now they have posted the job opening with I-Match skills with the employment department and on Indeed and on Craigs List. Norris said they also made some changes with the announcement including broadening the description of what they are looking for. The Lake Manager is responsible for the overall operation and activities of the Devils Lake Water Improvement District. The Lake Manager also coordinates projects, programs and activities of the District with all relevant federal, state and local agencies. A full job description can be found on the districts website at dlwid.org.
