Thursday night (7/14) at around 7pm Lincoln City police responded to the Beacon Crest Apartment building on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival Officers questioned a male subject that was in the home who reportedly stated he was just looking for his girlfriend who lived at the apartment and that he was just leaving. During this time the woman arrived and the smoke alarm went off inside the apartment. Officers entered the apartment and found a lamp had been placed on the stove. The apartment complex was evacuated and there were no injuries. The apartment did sustain smoke damage and the woman and her son received help from the Red Cross. The male subject who was later identified as 26-year old Enrique Lascano, was arrested at the scene. He faces charges of 1st degree arson, menacing and criminal mischief with his bail set at $250,000.
