Yesterday, June 28th, 2016, at 11:05 a.m., Deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were called to 13436 Kiliam Road NE, near Woodburn. At 11:21 a.m., when Deputies arrived they found two deceased victims, and two additional victims who were all injured from gunfire. Deputies on scene treated the victims for their injuries and loaded them on to awaiting ambulances. Katie Gildersleeve, age 30, of Logsden, Oregon was transported to Emanuel Hospital in Portland by ambulance and she later died of her injuries. The second victim Refugio Modesto-DeLaCruz, age 27, was also transported by ambulance to OHSU and he is currently in critical condition but expected to survive his injuries.
Deputies searched the residence and the surrounding area with K9’s and an airplane provided by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were able to obtain a vehicle and suspect description on scene which was broadcast to all local police agencies. At approximately 1:30 p.m., the suspect was located driving east on Interstate 84, near The Dalles. Oregon State Troopers, deputies with Hood River County Sheriff’s Office and the Hood River Police Department stopped the vehicle being driven by Bonifacio Oseguera-Gonzalez, age 29 and he was taken into custody without incident.
Upon further investigation detectives identified Ruben Rigoberto-Reyes, age 60 and Edmundo Amaro-Bajonero, age 26 as the two males killed at the Kiliam residence. The victims Refugio, Ruben and Edmundo are residents at the Kiliam Road address, and Ms. Gildersleeve was the girlfriend of another resident who was not present at the time of the shooting. The suspect Bonifacio is known to frequent the property.
