The program extends for 11 weeks and the hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:30 pm, from June 20 – September 2. The full day cost is $20 per child, $8 for the 8:00-12:00 session and $12 for the 12:00-5:30 session. Additional information and youth registration forms can be found on NFK’s website at www.neighborsforkids.org. Sign your child up with the Kids Zone for an active, entertaining summer full of classes and activities!
Neighbors For Kids is also a sponsor of the USDA Summer Food Service Program and the Kids Zone’s open site provides free lunch for all children from the community ages 1-18. Everyone will be served a healthy and delicious lunch from 12:30 – 1:30 pm during the summer schedule. Full-day summer camp participants will also receive a continental breakfast and a nutritious afternoon meal, giving them the fuel they need to play hard and learn well!
Grant funding to support the Kids Zone’s expanded summer food service program has been provided by Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Program and the Partners For a Hunger-Free Oregon Summer Meals Support Fund. Various educational enrichment activities, outdoor experiences, sports/fitness, science activities and field trips have been generously supported by Spirit Mountain Community Fund, Gray Family Foundation, Samaritan Health Services, The Ford Family Foundation, TLC Fibre Federal Credit Union and donors from the community.
Providing ongoing programs and activities for youth in our region does have its costs, so NFK is always seeking participation and support from the community.
