The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) announce the reopening of razor clamming from Tillamook Head to Cascade Head, north of Lincoln City, as domoic acid levels have dropped below the alert level. The harvesting of razor clams is now open from the Columbia River to Heceta Head, north of Florence. Razor clamming remains closed from Heceta Head south to the California border.

In addition, ODA and ODFW announce the reopening of all mussel harvesting from the Columbia River to Cascade Head. Samples taken from the area indicate levels of paralytic shellfish toxins (PSTs) have dropped below the alert level. This means the entire Oregon coast is now open for mussel harvesting.
ODA will continue to test for shellfish toxins weekly, as tides permit. Reopening of an area requires two consecutive tests in the safe range.
