Pacific City Birding and Blues Festival LogoOrganizers are pleased to announce the Birding and Blues Festival will return to Pacific City the weekend of April 29-May 1. The 2016 festival will offer fan-favorite field trips and a couple of brand new excursions! The weekend will begin with classic Birding & Blues activities including a free community open house on Friday April 29th that features a live sea bird presentation and a children’s art activity. The festival is also bringing a new excursion to attendees on Friday: Historical Backroads. Historical Backroads will be a wild ride, accompanied by an expert, where you will be chauffeured to local back roads in Tillamook County that are rich with wildlife.

Top birding experts will lead field trips to popular locations including Neskowin Marsh and will teach birders who are just getting started at identification. The 2016 Festival will bring fresh topics such as Behind the Scenes Nature Walk, Seabird Watch, Feeders & Birding, and the incredibly exciting Evening Owl Search.

The fun continues into the night when the town comes alive with the sound of Blues. There will be concerts on both Friday and Saturday evenings at the Kiwanda Community Center which offers an intimate setting for enjoying music “up close and personal” and dancing like a crazy bird.
