The coastal areas have had some wild weather over the last two months. Unfortunately, some folks have had damage to their homes, cars, and property from flooding, falling trees and more. Those who have ever filed an insurance claim know it can be a frustrating experience.
State representative David Gomberg said the coastal areas have seen a lot of water in the last two months and as a result has also seen a lot of damage. Some have experienced issues more severe than others with homes becoming uninhabitable and sliding into ravines and driveways being washed away to damage to their cars.
Representative Gomberg along with Rep. Deborah Boone have invited the Oregon Insurance Division to the coast for a pair of Town Hall meetings to work with residents on how best to address their damages and work with their insurance companies. He said he hopes people will gain some information of what they can do to protect themselves in the future and now from this type of damage.
There will be a town hall meeting Monday January 25th at Oregon Coast Community College in South Beach in the community room from 2-4pm and at Tillamook Community College from 5:30-7:30. Insurance Division staff will be on hand to give an overview of their organization, and to offer individual advice tailored to your unique situation.
