Lesley Ogden, M.D., who has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital since September 2013, has been promoted to the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective immediately. Ogden succeeds Marty Cahill, who had retained the North Lincoln Hospital CEO title while also serving as COO at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital since June 2013. Cahill will now move to the CEO role at Lebanon, also beginning on Jan. 1.
The promotions were announced by Larry Mullins, President and Chief Executive Officer of Samaritan Health Services.
“Each of these executives has done outstanding work while serving in their respective interim roles, and their promotions reflect Samaritan’s confidence in their leadership,” Mullins said. Ogden, a board-certified emergency physician, joined Samaritan Health Services in 2006 and continues to work an occasional shift in Urgent Care or the hospital’s Emergency Department in addition to her administrative responsibilities.
“I feel fortunate to be a part of Samaritan Health Services, and I have very much enjoyed working with the staff and community here,” Ogden said. “As a physician and a hospital leader, I’m particularly excited about the opportunity to help plan and construct a new Critical Access Hospital in Lincoln City over the next several years. It will be a facility that reflects current best practices and will serve our community for generations to come.”
