Ribbon Cutting At Ojalla Park

Lincoln County Parks in cooperation with the Oregon State Marine Board and Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife recently completed the new Ojalla Park improvements. These improvements include a new boat slide with stairs to the river, parking for boat trailers, single car parking, and a new vault restroom. Lincoln County applied for and received grants from the Oregon State Marine Board and Oregon
Dept. of Fish and Wildlife Sport Fish Restoration funds. The project was bid out and the successful bidder was Devils Lake Rock Co. of Lincoln City. The project costs amounted to just under $400,000 for the improvements. The Marine Board contributed $74,725 and the Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife contributed $295,575, with Lincoln County paying the remainder. Lincoln County will have a ribbon cutting on October 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at Ojalla Park. This event is open to the public.

Directions to Ojalla Park: Take Highway 20 East from Newport to the Toledo Junction, turn North on Highway 229, proceed 3 miles past the City of Siletz to mile post 20.5. This is approximately 16.5 miles from Newport.
