A parent and her 4-year old girl have reportedly filed a claim in Lane County circuit court against Samaritan Health Services, Samaritan Early Learning Center and it’s director for more than 8-million dollars. Samaritan officials say they have not received anything on this matter and only learned about it from an article on Oregon Live. (see below)

According to Department of Human Services they are conducting an investigation into this matter as well as Lincoln City police, however until the investigation is concluded no other information is available. District Attorney Rob Bovett stated that he has not received any police reports against anyone yet for anything and can’t pre-judge what may have happened. He did emphasize however that all childcare workers are mandatory reporters if abuse is suspected.
