63-Year Old Neotsu Man Struck By A Car

Sunday night December 3rd just before 5pm, State Police Trooper Wertz and Lincoln City police officers were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian that was hit by a car on Hwy 101 at the intersection of NE Neostu Drive. Investigation showed the driver of a white Mazda Miata, identified as 47-year old Sarado Touch of Happy Valley was northbound on US 101 when his car struck a 63-year old male from Neostu in the northbound lane as he attempted to cross the highway. The pedestrian was transported from the scene with critical injuries to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital and then by Life Flight to Legacy Emanuel Hospital, Portland. Mr. Sarado was fully cooperative with the investigation. Lincoln City Police, North Lincoln Fire and Rescue, ODOT and PacWest Ambulance assisted with incident response.
