Police Seek Public’s Help To Find Two Involved In Car Crash

On October 31, 2017 at approximately 6:00 AM, the Oregon State Police was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on US Hwy 18 near milepost (MP) 9 just west of the Van Duzer State Park.

Upon Oregon State Police arrival, it was discovered the female driver, identified as Kiera L. Haun (age 24 from Lincoln City), and an identified passenger of Joseph A. Ratcliff (age 34 from Lincoln City) had fled the scene. The preliminary crash details indicate Haun was driving a 2016 Nissan Altima (owned by Ratcliff) westbound on Us Hwy 18. The vehicle veered off the road, down a ravine, and flipped onto its top in the river. Haun, Ratcliff, and the third passenger, Allen Harmon (age 25 from Lincoln City), were able to climb out of the vehicle. There was significant damage to the vehicle and it was reported Haun was complaining of injury and may need medical attention. Harmon was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. It is unknown if Ratcliff was injured.

The Oregon State Police is asking any witnesses of the crash or anyone who may have information of Haun or Ratcliff’s location to please the Oregon State Police at call 1(800)452-7888.
