The Lincoln County board of commissioners proclaimed this week as Master Gardener week. Liz Olson with the OSU Extension Master Gardener program said they have many activities this week to showcase what the Master Gardeners do in Lincoln County. In the proclamation it was pointed out that public education and outreach is a key component for Master Gardeners as well as volunteering.
Tomorrow will be a straw bale pollinator and companion planting and edible garden tour at the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse demonstration garden. The Lincoln County drum circle will be playing. This is the 23rd year that the Master Gardeners have been working with students at Sam Case to plant and harvest at the Yaquina Bay lighthouse demonstration garden.
