Information from the city of Toledo:
Update: Water was restored yesterday morning around 10:30.
At approximately 3:30 AM this morning (7/25) Toledo Public Works Staff were notified by Toledo Police Department of a
significant water leak in the 800 block area of S.E. Fir Street in Toledo Oregon. Upon arrival Public Works Staff discovered
a significant leak/break in the water supply mainline that had created a large hole in the SE Fir Street area, making this
portion of roadway impassable. Detours and a safety area were established and City crews were able to isolate the leak.
At this time an unknown number of residences in the area are without water service. City crews as well as a utility
contractor working on another City water improvement project are on scene and repairs are underway. It is expected
that water service to the affected residences will be restored within the next few hours. The affected portion of SE Fir
Street will likely remain closed and a detour route in place for the next several days until repairs to the damaged
roadway can be made.
