Kid Zone Offers Summer Programs

The Neighbors for Kids Kid Zone program announced they will be open throughout the summer to serve pre-K through teens. The summer program will be offering three themes throughout the summer months. For June the theme is explore outside, July the theme is the wonders of water and for August the theme is our solar system. The kids will get to be part of the rowing club and go on special field trips including trips to the beach, the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse and surf camp.

The kid zone is also offering transportation this year to and from the facility from Newport and Lincoln City. Pick up is between 8 and 8:30 am at proposed stops at Hatfield Marine Science Center, Rogue Brewery in South Beach and Bike Newport with drop off between 5:30 and 6. In Lincoln City drop off and pick up sites will be at D-River, the Ridge apartments and Division. The cost is $5 for round trip or $3 for one way.
