Salem Man Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter

On Friday September 9th, 2016, Detectives from Tillamook, Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office, and Oregon State Police responded to a location near the Tillamook and Yamhill County line, where a shallow grave with human remains was discovered. On September 29, 2016, Brian David Henry, 41 of Salem, was indicted for Manslaughter 2 by the Tillamook County Grand Jury. Henry was the husband of Anna Lorraine Proietti, 21, whose remains were found in a remote forested area of Tillamook County on September 8, 2016. According to Investigators, this indictment is a result of Henry’s alleged involvement in Anna Proietti’s death. Henry was lodged in the Tillamook County Jail.

The Tillamook County Major Crimes Team, began a death investigation on September 9, 2016, following the discovery of human remains in a shallow grave in a remote location in southeast Tillamook County by a Yamhill County Forest Deputy. On September 21, Investigators executed a search warrant on Brian David Henry’s residence in Salem, Oregon, and also seized a vehicle once belonging to Brian David Henry and Anna Prioetti.  The investigation revealed a suicide pact between Anna Proietti and Brian Henry.  Henry assisted Proietti in her suicide then buried her body in the shallow grave where she was found. On Monday, May 1, 2017, a plea agreement was reached and Brian David Henry was sentenced to three years in prison for a reduced charge of attempted second-degree manslaughter and ordered to pay restitution for Anna Proietti’s funeral expenses.
