Fun Daze After School with 4-H
Students in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to join the FREE Lincoln County 4-H Fun Daze After School Program being held Monday through Thursday (as determined by need/demand) at the Lincoln County Commons (Fairgrounds) in Newport. A wide variety of fun hands-on activities and experiments will engage youth in science, technology, engineering, math and many other exciting subjects.
The program is free and happening from 3:30 to 5:00pm, with early-release Wednesdays starting at 2:30. A snack will be provided at the program as well as all supplies for the projects and activities. Youth are encouraged to bring their own ideas for activities as well, since everyone knows curiosity is the best motivator!
To join in the fun, please contact the Lincoln County 4-H Program at the OSU Extension Office – 541-574-6534. Sessions will be held in the Harney Educational Building, located at the corner of 3rd and Harney on the Fairgrounds (Commons) property.
The 4-H program helps young people learn and grow through an intentional process that builds competence, confidence, connection, compassion and character. Research has shown that by participating in 4-H, young people prepare themselves for economic and social success in adulthood.
