Lincoln City Awards $50,000 to Non-Profits


The City of Lincoln City will be distributing a total of $50,000 in checks to local non-profit agencies at
4 pm on Tuesday July 28. The presentation ceremony will be held in the City Council Chambers. The
following recipients will receive funds:

Angels Anonymous: $4,500
B’Nai B’Rith Camp: $1,000
Business for Excellence in Youth: $4,500
CASA: $3,000
Family Promise of Lincoln County : $4,000
Habitat for Humanity: $1,000
Helping Hands: $2,000
Lincoln City Food Pantry: $10,000
Lincoln City Warming Shelter: $500
My Sister’s Place: $12,000
Neighbors for Kids: $500
North End Senior Solutions: $2,000
Senior Meals: $3,000
Retired and Senior Volunteers: $2,000

The City receives requests for funding from local non-profits each year as part of its budget
preparation process. Once the City Council has approved the budget (which happens after the
Council receives a recommendation from the Budget Committee), a Committee of City Councilors
reviews the applications for funding and makes a recommendation to the full City Council as to which
agencies should receive funds. “I am pleased that the City Council continues to set aside money in the City budget for local non-profit agencies” said Don Williams, Mayor, City of Lincoln City. “Our recipients perform vital work in support of our community. The Council appreciates the support of the citizens of Lincoln City in making these grants available”.
